Benson Boone

   Benson Boone brought the Wanted Man Tour to the Smoothie King Center on August 23, and the energy was there almost immediately.

The crowd was loud from the start, singing along to just about everything and getting even louder as the night went on. Boone matched them easily. He was all over the stage, constantly moving, talking to the crowd and making the arena feel a little smaller than it actually was.

 

   Of course, the backflips made several appearances. Boone threw himself into multiple throughout the set, and somehow the crowd reacted like it was the first one every time.

 

   What kept the show interesting, though, was that it wasn’t just built around those big moments. His vocals stayed front and center, and some of the best parts of the night came from simply hearing the entire arena sing back to him. The production was big, but it never felt like it was trying to cover anything up.

 

   There was a really natural rhythm to the show. One song would be huge and dramatic, the next would pull things back, and then Boone would be right back to running across the stage again. Nothing dragged for very long.

 

   By the end of the night, the Wanted Man Tour felt exactly like a Benson Boone show should. Big vocals, a lot of movement, a crowd that knew every word, and enough backflips to keep everyone watching.
