The Lumineers
-by Cait Devall

Live from the Smoothie King Center, The Lumineers brought “The Automatic World Tour” to New Orleans and had the entire room in their hands from the start.

The energy never sat in one place for long. One second the room felt locked into something quiet and focused, and the next it was loud, moving, and completely alive. It wasn’t forced. It just happened naturally, which made it hit even harder.

The production kept things clean but still gave the show its own identity. The vertical panels and shifting light added movement without competing with the performance, letting the music stay front and center while still feeling visually strong.

Wesley Schultz led the night effortlessly. He didn’t have to push for a reaction, the crowd was already there with him. Every shift in energy felt intentional, and the connection between the stage and the audience never dropped.

For a show of this scale, it still felt personal, but never quiet. It was loud when it needed to be, still when it mattered, and fully engaging the entire time.

A set that didn’t try to be anything other than what it is, and that’s exactly why it worked.
